Terms of Service
Last updated · 12 February 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website shureninternationalschool.com and any courses, kits, books or other products and services purchased from Shuren International Education OÜ, an Estonian private limited company registered at Sepapaja tn 6, Tallinn 15551, Estonia, registration 16842073 (“Shuren”, “the School”, “we”).
By placing an order, creating an account or using the site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. Who can buy from us
You may place an order only if you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract in your country of residence. Where the product is a course or service for a child under 18, you must be the parent or legal guardian (or have their written permission) and consent on behalf of the student.
2. The contract between us
Displaying products on the site is an invitation to treat, not a binding offer. Your order is an offer to buy. A binding contract forms only when we send you an order confirmation email. We may decline an order at our discretion — for example, if a product is out of stock, if we cannot ship to your country, or if we suspect the order is fraudulent.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Euros and include applicable VAT. Shipping is added at checkout. We accept the payment methods listed on our Payment Policy. Card payments are processed by a PCI-DSS certified payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
4. Live courses
4.1 Cohort assignment
Cohorts are formed by school year and language level. We aim to publish the schedule of every cohort at least 14 days before it begins. If the time zone is unworkable for your family, contact us within 7 days of enrolment and we will move the student to another cohort or issue a full refund.
4.2 Conduct in sessions
Students agree to attend sessions in an appropriate, quiet space; to keep their camera on for at least the first ten minutes of each session unless agreed otherwise; and to treat fellow students and tutors with respect. We may remove a student from a cohort for repeated breaches; a pro-rata refund will be considered in good faith.
4.3 Recordings
Live sessions are recorded for catch-up purposes and made available to enrolled students for 30 days. Recordings are deleted automatically after that. Students may not download, redistribute or post recordings publicly.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel a live course up to fourteen days before the start date for a full refund. After that, see our Refund Policy.
5. Physical products (kits, books, workbooks)
Physical items are shipped according to our Shipping Policy. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers the parcel to the shipping address you supplied. You may return undamaged physical items within 30 days under the conditions of our Refund Policy.
6. Digital products
Digital materials (PDFs, video courses, downloadable workbooks) are licensed to a single household for personal, non-commercial use. You may print one copy per household member. You may not redistribute, resell or post our materials publicly.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the site — including text, photographs, illustrations, course materials, book interiors, the “Shuren” name and logo — is the property of Shuren International Education OÜ or our licensors. Nothing on the site grants you ownership or a licence to use our trademarks. Personal, non-commercial use of the materials you purchase is permitted as described in clause 6.
8. User-submitted content
Students may submit written work, drawings or recordings as part of their cohort. By submitting such work, you grant Shuren a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it back to the student and the cohort, and (with the family’s separate written consent) to publish it in a year-end anthology. You retain all other rights in the work.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the contract is limited to the price you paid for the relevant product. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under Estonian or EU consumer law.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence. Disputes may be brought before the competent court in Tallinn, or, at the consumer’s option, before the court of their place of residence. EU consumers may use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be sent to existing customers by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The version current at the time you place an order governs that order.
